After the meeting take part in the "Paradise Shoppers" in the Ballroom until 1 P.M. for more ideas in gift giving. Great way to support our local crafters. A great day ahead for us all.

Computer Classes are being offered at the Sunrise Mt. Library on W. Lake Pleasant Pkwy...click here for subjects & dates

Contact Cathy Coffman to take part in the classes at 623-773-8663.

The classes are repeated with the first class being offered on December 1st. 

You have to be a member of the library. Membership is free all you need to do is bring a piece of mail or document with your name and your park address on it.

New Acquisition:   the club has just purchased a new Windows computer.

It is the latest and greatest, featuring a touch screen and Win. 8.1

We have joined the APCUG,  a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and supporting computer and software user groups worldwide.

The Club has a new digital converter for slides & negatives which is available on loan to members! 

If you have some slides you would like to scan bring them along.

WARNING  Avoid pressing the  F1 key while on the internet

 While browsing on the internet, if you see a notice telling you to press your F1 key (that's across top left of your keyboard)

 DON'T DO IT.  This key usually means "Help" but not if you are online.  It will release a potent virus in your computer. . .Do not press the F1 key no matter how many times your computer asks you to.  If you don't press F1, you will be constantly reminded to do so . . .just click on the little 'x' on the window, or close your browser totally - might even be better to reboot.

  Do you have computers in working order that you want to dispose of?
Take them to Lowell Ergen.
He refurbishes and donates them to underprivileged children who would not otherwise have a computer

Wireless Internet in the computer room

Wireless internet is available in and around the building housing the computer room, library, and card rooms. It also supports the swimming pool area and the multi-purpose room.
This is a significant convenience for all computer club members and park residents!
